Klonopin (clonazepam) is efficient in the treatment of anxiety, panic disorder and seizure disorders. However, your health care provider may prescribe this drug for other conditions you have or tell you to combine it with other drugs. Do not combine Klonopin with any medicines or supplements unless told so by your doctor. Take this medicine exactly as recommended by your health care provider and avoid taking larger doses. This is not going to make your treatment more efficient and may cause overdose symptoms. The tablet of Klonopin is supposed to dissolve in your mouth – make sure you do not chew it or swallow it whole. You can drink some water or other liquid after the tablet has dissolved to make sure it reaches your stomach.

Klonopin has been reported to harm an unborn baby causing breathing problems. If you are pregnant inform your health care provider about it in advance to make sure your baby is not affected in any way. Also do not breastfeed if you are taking this medicine as it can pass into breast milk. Do not take more of this drug than prescribed by your health care provider. The symptoms of an overdose you may experience in this case include confusion, muscle weakness, drowsiness, fainting and some other ones.
